How to Work Less + Achieve More 🔥

Feb 12, 2024

So, you've heard the rumors, right? That to be successful in business, you need to be glued to your work 25/7, juggling tasks like a circus performer, and basically making your office your second home. Well, I'm here to flip that script and tell you about the journey from hustle-hard to hustle-smart.

Once upon a time, I was right there with you. If there was an award for "Most Likely to Be Working," I would've won it hands down. I wore my busyness like a badge of honor. But let’s be real: constantly saying "I’m sooooo busy" gets old. Really fast.

I actually hit my breaking point where I knew I could no longer sustain the pace.  I felt like I had created a monster and it was nothing like the vision I had for creating my business in the first place 😳

The game-changer for me was realizing that working 25/7 (yes, that’s not a typo) wasn't the only path to success. It took me a while, but I finally embraced the idea that I could own a successful business AND work just 12 hours a week. Mind-blowing, right?  It literally changed my life.

Here's What I Learned:

1. 25/7 Availability is Overrated

You don't need to be on-call every waking moment. Setting work hours and sticking to them not only keeps you sane but also sets clear boundaries for everyone involved.

2. Delegate, Delegate, Delegate

You don’t have to do it all. Seriously. Outsourcing or delegating tasks frees up your time and allows you to focus on what you do best.

3. Perfection is a Trap

Aiming for perfection in every task is like running on a treadmill—you expend a lot of energy but don’t actually get anywhere. Aim for excellence where it counts, and let "good enough" be okay for the rest.

4. Size Doesn't Always Matter

When it comes to teams, bigger isn’t always better. A small but mighty team can be just as effective, if not more so, than a large one.

5. Keep Tech Simple

Technology should make your life easier, not give you a headache. Opt for straightforward, user-friendly tools that do what you need without the fuss.

6. Work Smarter, Not Harder

Long hours don’t equate to success. Focusing on productivity and prioritizing tasks can lead to better results without the burnout.

7. Automate and Schedule

Immediate responses aren't always necessary. Automate what you can and set specific times to check emails. Your brain will thank you.
